I have volunteered for varying animal welfare organizations over the years and was recently involved with finding a senior citizen a small companion dog.
On the day Belle, a lucky little Pomeranian-mix met her new mom, she was wearing a beautiful vintage collar that her foster dad had given her. The collar was a lovely mesh material and very pretty. I was impressed by Belle who turned out to be the perfect furbuddy and also by the collar which was both unique & beautiful. Belle was such a great little dog, it made me yearn for one of my own.
Soon, I adopted Amelia Earhart--a delightful and enchanting little Chihuahua-mix named for her large ears which make her look capable of flight. We call her a chi-what-what as we have no idea what her lineage really is. Unfortunately for Amelia, she had suffered horrible abuse and was shot several times suffering a broken front leg and a broken tail. She also had a hernia and was heart-worm positive. She landed at a county shelter where her days were numbered. A kind-hearted shelter worker posted her profile on Adopt a Pet and that's where I found her. Next--I was on a mission....to help her recover and give her the star treatment she deserved....and I was going to find a collar as beautiful as Belle's! After months of searching, I finally found one....and was so impressed by the quality & jaw-dropping style that I knew other furbuddies would want one too. Amelia's collar is the bow and rhinestone one shown above on the right. The first day she wore it--the very first person that saw it also had to have one! Today Amelia
is healthy and happy--and of course, has bling in her life!
I hope you and your furbuddy enjoy these collars and each other as much as we do! And I encourage you to consider adopting a rescue animal. They will return your love and enrich your life ten-fold!
